California - Part One

We went to California over the 4th of July weekend. The flight out was pretty good and the kids did all right. We swam, visited, went to the parade and fireworks. We also attended our newest niece's blessing.

Addie was pretty happy for most of the trip. Lexi, however, had a tough time figuring out where she fit in with all of the kids around. By the last day, she was toast. The flight home was horrible and we had to wait for the shuttle to make 3 round trips before we could get back to the car. We got home after midnight - and the kids were still awake. We're still recovering.

For the most part, though, we had a really good time and loved visiting with everyone.

This is my Grandpa with Addie. He is 95 this August. Because all of Lexi's grandpas in California are named Robert, we call them an assortment of names. This is "Grandpa Tweet".

My dad, aka "Grandpa Bob" with the girls.

Addie went swimming for the first time ever. She liked it quite a bit.

Lexi and Brent in the pool. Lexi loves her Uncle Brent and hardly gives him a break when she's around him.

I cannot believe how much your dad has changed over the years! I think the last time I saw him he didn't have really any white hair; it was all still dark brown/black.
